For all those who lost someone that day, you will never be forgotten...
Rosario...Eyewitness...
My favorite view of the city was always lower Manhattan, I always took comfort in the beautiful man made canyons which are in the boro of Manhattan. The skyline that shows the spirit of the city, the passion, ideals, the big dreams (the sky's the limit), the ambition that's part of the spirit that is unique to the city.

NY at night was always inspiring for me, being an artist the sheer audacity and scale of the city was just unbelievable and visionary...second to none, with the outrageous scale of the towers and it's small underground city that just dwarfed all others downtown was inspirational. I would often eat lunch on the benches near the globe that is shown this photograph, if the weather permitted it. The plaza's design was really unique really in that it made you seem small and at the same time large.
A favorite pass time of mine was photographing the city during the day and night if we had a nice clear sky. Today when I look at downtown, the city seems alien to me. In the past before all of the horrible things, it was easy to photograph the city, now that's history, I never realized that I was documenting history... I chose this year (2007) to show these photos for the first time, it was on my mind for a very long time. It seemed to be the right time to do so (sorry for the watermarks, but I have to protect my content from all the opportunist), this black and white photo was photographed in June 1998,(techpan25-Nikon F 35mm) these particular photos from the many, that I chose are a few of my favorites from over 10 years worth of night photos, I planned on photographing the city for a book at one time so I do have a library, I have photos in 35mm, medium format and a few in large format.
