concept is the king while the technology behind is not since
it is always evolving, including the fact that one size does
not fit all on the web, have you tried looking at many new
websites that take a long time to load even with broadband,
how about viewing it on your phone, ipad, blackberry?

commercially in the past, and as you search this site you will
notice a lot of original content several hundreds from many
thousands...for these are all parts of the whole, there are
many others still to show, actually hundreds of them, some are
web stores, artist portfolio sites, ad agency sites, corporate
sites, landing pages, etc, others are content sites, done in
HTML / CSS, FLASH, JSP, XML, DHTML, XHTML, CXML CFM, with SQL,
ASP, PHP backends among other technologies...
